U of M awarded $4 million to battle cancer disparities
The University of Minnesota Academic Health Center has been awarded a $4.1 million, 5-year grant by the National Cancer Institute. The grant will establish the Minnesota Community Networks Center for Eliminating Cancer Disparities to address the cancer burden in racial/ethnic minorities and other underserved communities. Kola Okuyemi, M.D., M.P.H., Masonic Cancer Center member and leader of its health disparities research and programs, will direct the new center. Read more.
