west of Minneapolis. I have a general psychotherapy practice as well a providing specialized therapy
services to individuals, couples and families. I am an experienced therapist best known for my work providing family therapy, as well as depression treatment, and anxiety treatment. I also treat eating disorders, and
provide relationship counseling. My training is as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in adult psychiatric/mental
health nursing and as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
My nursing background gives me the broad base to address mental health concerns from a wholistic perspective considering the mind-and-body interplay. I collaborate with and refer to a variety of traditional medical and mental health professionals as well as integrative medicine providers. My background as a family therapist influences me so that I look at presenting issues from a systems perspective that emphasizes the context in which the issues occur.
Whether you need family therapy, depression treatment, anxiety treatment, or relationship counseling, I bring a high level of experience and am able to individualize my approach to meet my clients' needs. I work with my clients in a collaborative style where I am very active and draw on my clients' strengths. As part of therapy I do a lot of educating as well as supporting clients to find their inner wisdom that helps them to make the needed changes.
