The Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS) is located on the medical campus of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN. It is served by twelve minimally invasive surgeons, supported by more than 65 operating room professionals and sustained by the skills and dedication of an entire medical campus. The MIMIS surgery center is a vision and commitment of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and the surgeons of it's Eye, Orthopaedic, Gynecologic, LaparoEndoscopic (General) and Weight Loss Surgery specialties to support and promote minimally invasive surgery on the medical campus.
MIMIS promotes the best possible outcomes through a minimally invasive approach to surgery. Our shared goal is to offer patients a compassionate and efficient approach to surgical care. At MIMIS, specialized techniques and instruments are used that enable the surgeon to perform major surgery with a small incison. Minimally invasive procedures require a small incision causing less trauma to the surrounding tissue. Less pain, a quicker recovery time and less scarring are all benefits of minimally invasive surgical techniques.
