Driver's Training 101

Designed for teens 14 years old and over. This program teaches all the skills necessary to become a licensed driver in Minnesota. This includes 30 hours of classroom instruction, the course provides students with a smaller class room environment with out the intimidation of a big class, and the same Instructor for the entire class, along with six hours of behind the wheel instruction. Our classes are fun and interactive. Driver’s Training 101 will also show students a basic vehicle inspection; checking the oil, radiator, air pressure, etc.

Behind the wheel driving sessions are fun and challenging. As a teen, you’ve been a passenger on the road of life for 14 years. Now it’s time to sit in the driver’s seat and take the wheel. We will help you learn the rules of the road and how to get yourself safely from point A to point B. We do welcome students that already have their permit but are having a difficult time getting their required six hours of behind the wheel instruction completed. Our training vehicles are safe, insured, maintained, and inspected for your safety. Our vehicle is a front wheel drive 2005 Pontiac G6 with traction control and anti-lock brakes, perfect for behind the wheel training in Minnesota winters.

All of this will help prepare you mentally for driving on the road, by helping you understand your driving environment. Also helping to develop the ability to assess your risks and capabilities in a variety of different driving situations. Most importantly, help you discover your limit’s and those of your vehicle.

Driver’s Training 101’s goal is to be Rochester’s and the surrounding areas finest driving school.

Instruction is provided by Driver’s Training 101, approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
