Welcome to the Hermantown Community Schools ISD 700
We serve the residents of Hermantown, Minnesota, known as the "City of Quality Living," and surrounding rural communities. Our school district is home to nearly 9,000 residents and is located near the shores of beautiful Lake Superior in the Arrowhead region of northern Minnesota.
We have dedicated ourselves to the pursuit of academic excellence through community involvement and innovative programs. Although we are a small school district, serving just over 1900 students, we offer a comprehensive educational program to our students, while preserving the benefits of a small-school setting.
We have four facilities which include a K-3 elementary school, a 4-8 middle school, a 9-12 high school, and an early childhood/family education center. Here our preK-12 student population enjoys a quality education based on Minnesota's exemplary standards, and opportunities to advance through our "College in the Schools" program.
