Co-op Electric customers from September 1 - October 31, 2010.

When you choose an ENERGY STAR rated washing machine, you can save up to 7,000 gallons of water a year and $550 in operating costs over the lifetime of
the machine, And, because ENERGY STAR rated washers use less energy, you'll
help reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases.
ENERGY STAR rated refrigerators use high-efficiency compressors, improved

at least 20 percent less energy than required by current federal standards.
Be safe this harvest season!
As farmers across Minnesota begin fall harvest, let’s all make safety a priority. Agriculture is one of Minnesota’s most dangerous jobs. In observance of National Farm Safety and Health Week, here are some tips for everyone to help make harvest season safe.
For people living or driving through rural areas:
--Watch for farm equipment on the roadway.
--Slow down when encountering slow moving vehicles.
--Be patient and wait for a safe place to pass.
--Make your equipment easy to see by using your lights and flashers.
--Remember it is Minnesota law to use slow moving vehicle emblems on equipment traveling less than 30 miles per hour.
--Consider using a follow vehicle when moving large equipment on roadways, especially in the evening.
--Carefully inspect electric lines overhead. Make sure your equipment will clear power lines.
--Get enough sleep and take short breaks often.
--Always turn equipment off, lower hydraulics and remove the key before leaving equipment unattended.
