We planted 2000 pine trees on our farm in Elko, MN in 1978. After years of hoeing, shearing, fertilizing, and irrigating, we sold our first cut your own tree in 1985. In 1991, we opened our second farm in Lakeville—on the frontage road of Interstate 35.
We grow Scotch and White Pine-- Fraser, Balsam, and Canaan Fir-- and Colorado and Black Hills Spruce trees. We sell them for Christmas trees as well as for the landscape. From spring through fall, we sell ball and burlap trees to the general public at wholesale prices.
In addition to our trees, we sell custom made wreaths, swags, and other holiday greenery. Why not order a one of a kind design just for you?
In 1997, we opened our Christmas Shoppe. I shop throughout the year to provide an exciting inventory for my customers. It includes fine European glass ornaments, papier mache' from Kashmir, and wood carvings from Russia. In recent years, we added jewelry and wedding items to our catalog. We began selling merchandise from our Shoppe on the internet in 1999.
Why not stop in and see why thousands of families have included Revak Nursery in their Christmas celebrations.
RED AND CONI FIR WANT TO REMIND YOU OF THE 4 Cs OF CHRISTMAS TREES. FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE RULES TO KEEP YOUR TREE BEAUTIFUL THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
THE SECOND "C"—CHOOSE A FRESH TREE. GENTLY GRASP A BRANCH AND SLOWLY PULL YOUR HAND TOWARD YOU. THE NEEDLES SHOULD STAY ON THE TREE. OR CUT YOUR TREE YOURSELF.
THE THIRD "C" –CHOOSE A PROPER STAND. MAKE SURE IT HOLDS AT LEAST ONE GALLON OF WATER. CHECK IT FREQUENTLY, FILLING IT WITH FRESH WATER SO THAT THE BOTTOM OF THE STUMP IS ALWAYS COVERED.
THE FOURTH "C"—CUT THE STUMP AGAIN. A TREE WILL BEGIN TO SEAL THE STUMP WITHIN MINUTES OF CUTTING. THIS HARDENING SAP IMPEDES AND SOMETIMES EVEN PREVENTS THE FLOW OF WATER UP INTO THE TRUNK.
