You've heard of concierge services in hotels? The hotel concierge is the go-to person when you want to know what an unfamiliar city has to offer you in the way of food, entertainment and relaxation, for the best value according to your budget. As an Occupational Therapist and Certified Case Manager, Allie can be your "quality of life concierge" when you and/or your family lack enough knowledge, time or abilities to deal effectively with changes that come with aging, illness, chronic disease or disabling injuries.
If you or an aging family member have no particular medical problems, but you've started to notice that getting older seems to make it more difficult to do familiar tasks or activities, Allie can help maintain the ability to do those activities.
If you're starting to worry about changes in yourself or a family member and the ability to continue to live at home, Allie can help figure out how to stay healthy and safe in the community
If a new or chronic health problem is making it difficult for you or a family member to manage, Allie can help with making informed decisions about health care, support services and living arrangements.
If decreasing abilities in you or an aging family member make it necessary to consider changing where and how to live, Allie can help with identifying options and with adjusting to the changes.
If a disabling illness or injury is making it difficult for you or a family member to continue to work, Allie can provide services to help maintain or resume productive employment.
Allie's services begin with a thorough assessment of the effects of the individual's physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive and financial needs on his/her ability to function. In consultation with the individual, family and/or caregiver(s), Allie then develops a plan to address the identified needs according to priorities, timeframes for short-term and long-term goals, informational updates, and roles and responsibilities of the people involved in the plan .
All service plans are customized according to the unique characteristics and situations of each individual involved, and fees are based on ability to pay. The rare combination of Allie's training and more than 20 years' experience in Occupational Therapy and Case Management enables her to provide services with results of exceptionally high quality.
