With more than 25 million records sold worldwide and with his songs recorded by artists like David Bowie, Ray Charles, and Frank Sinatra, Jacques Brel (a Belgian born singer/songwriter) had a significant influence on an entire generation of singers and songwriters as well as on Broadway.

Following six twenty-somethings on their search for “home,” On Our Own takes a decidedly different look at the holiday season. Funny, nostalgic, sometimes sad, but ultimately hopeful, every generation will find something to connect with as On Our Own examines the universal theme of “family” and how differently it’s defined, particularly around the holidays. The cabaret format features songs by young singers and songwriters as they share the experiences and perspectives of a generation moving into adulthood: the myriad of emotions surrounding returning home, where is home?, who is my family?, where do I fit in? Come experience On Our Own.
