HDC Joins National Research Effort to Improve Treatment for Schizophrenia
The Human Development Center (HDC) has been selected to participate in a research study known as the RAISE Early Treatment Program (ETP). The Human Development Center is one of 35 locations across the United States that will be carrying out ETP, a study looking at the best ways to help people in the earliest stages of schizophrenia reduce their likelihood of experiencing long-term disability.
ETP is recruiting people between the ages of 16 and 40 who are experiencing the early stages of schizophrenia and related disorders.

having trouble concentrating or thinking clearly
confusion about what is real or imaginary
hearing voices or seeing things that are not there
problems with social activities, at work or at school
preoccupation with religion or superstition
feelings suspicious or paranoid
disorganized speech, racing thoughts, or slowed-down thoughts
