Union Congregational Church United Church of Christ is St. Louis Park’s oldest church, founded in 1883. Today we are a growing congregation united in our desire to share God’s love within our faith community and throughout the world.
Singles and couples. Families and empty-nesters. Gay and straight. Elders and children. Norwegian-Americans, native Kenyans and East Coast transplants. Stand-up comics, cover band drummers and weekend gardeners. At Union, we are happy to welcome “all the people” (wiggle your fingers), like the old Sunday school rhyme.
If you’re looking for a church home or just a warm and welcoming place to visit once in a while, please join us on a Sunday morning. Here, you’ll find a not-so-formal worship style, an atmosphere that invites questioning, lots of friendly people, and plenty of hot (free-trade) coffee, not necessarily in that order.

We offer a traditional yet casual worship infused with variety, a wide-ranging music program, intriguing adult forums, a lively Sunday school curriculum, and a community of members who seek to help others through social action.
We engage in a progressive theology, which worships a loving God, follows Christ’s example, welcomes hard questions and respects each person’s individual faith.
Union Congregational is also an Open and Affirming church of the United Church of Christ, welcoming lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people into its full life and ministry. At Union, we welcome all the people!
