Great Northern Bank is participating in the FDICs Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, all non interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDICs general deposit insurance rules.

*Accounts covered under the FDICs Transaction Account Guarantee Program (TAGP) include Negotiable Order of Withdrawal (NOW) accounts with interest rates no higher than 0.50 percent. Currently, the banks Great Community Checking, and Public Funds Checking qualify for additional deposit coverage under TAGP. It is managements intention that the additional deposit insurance coverage for these accounts will continue until TAGP ends. The banks Great Yield Checking account currently earns an interest rate above 0.50 percent and as such does not qualify for TAGP coverage.
