SPD Roadtrip! Our entire occupational therapy staff recently traveled to Cedar Rapids (Iowa), to see Dr. Lucy Jane Miller, world-renowned therapist, researcher, and expert on Sensory Processing Disorder.
Dr. Miller presented on "Evidence-based Practice in SPD: Subtypes, Assessments and Intervention." It was a wonderful followup to the intensive mentorship that Maggie Lesher, our clinical director, completed at the SPD Foundation in Denver. We look forward to implementing Dr. Miller's insights at our clinics!
On May 3, 2010, our Maplewood clinic relocated to a beautiful facility just a few blocks from our former Cope Avenue location.
Amenities include a spacious waiting area, expanded gross motor gym with additional therapy equipment, viewing room for parents, specially designed sensory playspace for group activities, and feeding therapy room with observation window.

Children's Theraplay offers FREE fine motor, gross motor, and oral motor skill development screenings for children age five and under. We can also screen for sensory processing and self-regulation problems.
