Playful Paws Pet Store, is the newest premier pet store to open in the Twin Cities area! We are a specialty store with puppies, kittens, supplies and grooming. Our puppies and kittens are hand-picked from reputable kennels. We have partnered with Maplewood Pet Care Clinic, a pet clinic providing the most up-to-date veterinary care possible in a family-oriented setting. Playful Paws wants only to place happy, healthy pets with a parent who will love them.

To be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) our practice must demonstrate an exceptional level of care and service. AAHA’s rigorous standards cover every aspect of a companion animal hospital, which means that the veterinary services you receive from an AAHA accredited hospital are among the finest in the industry.

Recently, Maplewood Pet Care Clinic passed another inspection maintaining our accreditation with American Animal Hospital Association. To become AAHA accredited, hospitals must pass 46 mandatory standards that ensure the highest quality of patient and client care.

“K9 Advantix” is a new spot-on product that repels and kills fleas and 4 different types of ticks and repels mosquitoes and biting flies. This product is applied monthly and currently you receive 2 free doses with every 6 doses purchased.

We understand that your pet holds a valued place in your life and your heart. We make it our life's work to respect and honor that special bond by providing the best possible health care for your pet.

We have upgraded our boarding facility and are offering some special services to make your pet feel more at ease and comfortable during their stay with us. While all dogs still recieve regular exercise in our cemented fenced runs, they can also have some TLC along with that exercise! We've recently (images coming soon!) fenced in our grassy back yard where dogs will enjoy supervised play time with frisbees, tug toys and balls. These play times are offered with those who play well together and individually. We also offer daily walks around the block and the meadow that surrounds our property. For those puppies with a sweet tooth, we offer a peanut butter ice cream treat (Frosty Paws) at bedtime which the dogs love! These new services have seemed to lower the stress level for the dogs and make their stay much more fun!

Maplewood Pet Care Clinic has a full service boarding facility for dogs and cats. All pets are cared for by a Certified Vet Tech. Dr. Marr is on-call and available 24/7 if needed for the care and well being of your pets!
