What is Trinity?
We are a congregation made up of individuals and families who are celebrated and accepted for who they are regardless of where they are on their faith journeys. Trinity is a Bible-based, Christ-centered community seeking to bring the Word of God and the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ to members and visitors through Worship, Christian Education programs for all ages, service and mission at home and abroad, and a host of fellowship opportunities.
Our order of service is based on the Presbyterian Book of Common Worship and emphasizes the sacraments as well as the sermon. Congregational and choral singing is accompanied by a variety of instruments and includes both traditional and contemporary hymns. To encourage the presence and participation of children, we make available “worship bags” filled with learning activities for our youngest worshippers and also set aside a special time in the service for a story or conversation specifically with them.
We celebrate the sacrament of Communion on a Sunday each month and on several special occasions throughout the year. All who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to participate in our table fellowship, including visitors and children of all ages. The sacrament of baptism is celebrated for adults and children of church members during worship services at a time and date convenient for the family.
Worship is an exciting element of our life together at Trinity, and involves a large number of volunteers each week. A lay person assists the pastor as liturgist during services, and others serve as welcoming greeters, friendly ushers, and communion servers. Our chancel choir sings a blend of contemporary and classical sacred music and the children’s choir shares their musical gifts and enthusiasm at special times. Our choirs are supplemented by volunteer soloists and small groups of musicians who offer their talents in gratitude to God.Children are always welcome in the sanctuary during worship service and child care is available during every service in our well-equipped nursery for infants or toddlers who may wish to use it.
The Fall Term of Trinity ALIVE! ends on Nov. 17.
