Novadebt, A Garden State Consumer Credit CounselingSMorganization, is a non-profit, financial management, social service agency. It is our mission to assist families and individuals in need by providing free financial education, community outreach and housing and credit counseling services; all with compassion and the utmost commitment to quality and integrity.
Founded in Freehold, New Jersey in 1991, Novadebt provides a wide range of services including: Free counseling to consumers in need; Education programs through workshops, courses and written material; Debt Management Plan to provide debt relief for applicable consumers; and Housing counseling services in the areas of pre-purchase, default and reverse mortgage. We are also a founding member of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies (AICCCA).
Our agency is an advocate of financial education for the community at large and our focus is to provide these services in order to meet the needs of consumers. Our goal is to help the community and our clients achieve and maintain financial stability.
Our Certified Counselors will take an in-depth look at your financial situation. By reviewing your information, we can determine the appropriate solutions that will best benefit you and your needs. Everyone’s situation is different, which is why it’s imperative that we create a personally designed plan of action that will assist you.
Novadebt is approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a Housing Counseling agency providing pre-purchase, default/foreclosure and Home Equity Conversion mortgage counseling.
As a non-profit offering financial education and counseling services to individuals in our communities, we become acutely aware of numerous other needs that exist. As a result, Novadebt reaches out into our communities in which we live and work.
Novadebt has been approved to issue certificates evidencing completion of counseling and/or a personal financial management instructional course in compliance with the Bankruptcy Code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of a Provider’s services.

After the review of the information provided during the counseling session, your counselor may recommend our Debt Management Plan.
