The Cottages of Vadnais Heights is a senior rental community for seniors 55+ in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. Enjoy single level living with no stairs. We have 1, 2 and 3 bedroom floor plans with private entrances, central air conditioning and community center activities daily. CVH is conveniently located near the intersection of I 35-E & 694 and Wal-Mart, Target & Festival Foods. Transportation can be provided by LionMobile and MetroTransit.

Cottages of Vadnais Heights offers floor plans with 1 to 3 bedrooms. All floor plans include a bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Our prices follow:

CVH is a Section 42 property. This means we are part of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). This program is regulated under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code. The tax credit encourages developers to build affordable housing to meet the needs of the community. Affordable rents are defined and calculated based on Median Household Income figures published every February/March by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

To determine your eligibility for a tax credit unit (CVH is 100% tax credit), you will be asked to complete an application that requests information regarding your household composition, income and student status.
Maximum qualifying income:

Two people $40,320/year
"Income" is your total of gross wages: social security and pensions, for example. "Assets" are calculated to include all interest income: dividends from savings and investments. (Details to be discussed.)

Our Community Center features a large social area where residents get together for potlucks, Bingo, card games, and crafts. Laundry facilities are also available in the Community Center.

Raised-bed garden plots are available each spring for those residents interested in gardening.

All cottages have wide doorways to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers, and all bathrooms have handrails in the shower. In addition, we have specifically-designed handicap accessible units in each building with features such as lower countertops, higher toilets and attached garages.
