At the Downtowner, our meats and vegetables are prepared over an oak-wood burning grill, following ancient Persian cooking traditions. The oak wood imbues our food with a mouth-watering subtle smoke that enhances the flavor of everything from savory boneless leg of lamb to center cut swordfish and sirloin steaks. Working in concert with the grill is our oak-wood burning oven, or tannur. Burning at a 500 degree temperature, the oven cooks our homemade pizzas and flat-bread to perfection and makes our artichoke dip an award winning dish (American Dairy Association). Thanks to the visible kitchen, our guests are able to see the cooking process as their meals are fire roasted or oven baked to their satisfaction.
