is our belief that alcohol and drug addiction is a disease, not a character flaw or weakness. Although addiction is an illness, it is not an identity. One characteristic of addiction is acting in ways that are “out of character” for a person. This generally produces feelings of guilt and shame. While we recognize addiction as an illness, we also understand that this does not absolve each person of responsibility for their behavior. It is our firm belief that it is only by taking responsibility for our actions that each person, and their families, can begin to heal and forgive.
New Visions Center offers comprehensive and individualized treatment for individuals and family members who are suffering from the negative effects of substance abuse and addiction. The length of stay and individualized treatment planning are solely dependent upon the individual.
