To relate to God more intimately. To evidence the fruit of the Spirit. To bring Jesus into all our relationships.
"As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for Thee, O God."
The Bible is our foundation for faith and practice. We believe it is God's Word to us - complete, and without error (in the original languages).
Although our primary focus is on worship, and the Word, we do encourage an informal atmosphere, with a "blended" worship style.
Pastor Howard Anderson has been the Pastor of Hunters Ridge Community Church since November 2001. He is originally from Chicago, Illinois, where he lived with his Father, Mother and four brothers. His journey of faith began at the Irving Park Lutheran Church in Chicago but never made the connection between information and a personal relationship to Jesus. At the age of 15 at Knox Bible Church in Chicago, He asked Jesus to be the forgiver of his sins and leader of his life. He came to realize the central truth of the gospel: that Jesus died for Him as His substitute on the cross and that He loved him and wanted to be the leader in his life. Since that time God has moved him from lay ministry to full time ministry. He received his undergraduate degree from John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Later he received his Masters Degree from the North American Baptist Seminary, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He has previously served as Pastor in Parkersberg, Iowa (1984 - 1988); Carrollton, Texas (1988 - 1994) and Beulah, North Dakota (1995 - 2001). He has over 20 years of pastoral experience and continues to love teaching the word of God and helping people become intimate with God. Howard and his wife, Becky, have two adult sons, Nathan and Aaron.
