GRAND PRIZE WINNER - Tracy Cannon2010 UBC National Contest WinnerProgressive Martial ArtsHermantown, MN "What the UBC Means to Me by Tracy Cannon All my life I could eat pretty much anything I wanted and I stayed in good shape without a lot of work. After having four kids, and I wasn't getting any younger, I started to put on the pounds. I wasn't happy with my body anymore!! Then a friend of mine told me about the UBC program. I thought with my busy life how could I make time to do it? Six days a week is a big commitment but let me tell you, once you start the program you get addicted! I was going six days a week and I LOVED it!! You'll make the time because you will be amazed at how fast you can see a change. I won the award for most workouts in 10 weeks and I won Princess of Pipes (best arms) and most improved pushups (from 12 at the initial evaluation to 73 at the final evaluation). I can't say enough about this program. It has changed my life forever! You learn how to eat right. I used to eat twice a day and UBC showed me that you need to eat six time a day to keep your metabolism up. That is something I will do for the rest of my life! It also taught me self defense. I feel so much stronger and feel that I have the know-how to defend myself if the situation should arise. I have met some great friends while doing UBC who inspired me to keep going and I hope to keep them in my life to keep inspiring me to stay in shape! The coaches who help motivate you every day are a wonderful group of people. I couldn't have done it without them. Now that I have finished, I'm going to keep kickboxing three days a week as a maintenance program. I'm a stylist and my clients can't believe my results. They say I'm inspiring them to start working out and I think a few are even thinking of trying the UBC program. I hope they do because I know they'll be amazed with their own results. I have a high spirited Arabian horse that I do endurance race on and I know the UBC helped me to be a better rider and hopefully we will win lots of rides this summer. That was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to be in better shape. My horse is in great shape and I wanted to be the best I could be for him. Well, that's my story. Congratulations Amanda RKC!
Amanda passed the gruelling course and is now a certified RKC. Amanda is now PMA's second certified Russian Kettlebell instructor!

Chris has undergone the training and passed the Russian Kettlebell Challenge Level 2 test! This certification allows him to bring a broader curriculum, more depth and understanding of the techniquies and corrective stratagies for the students.

PMA member, Mary Bombardier, became the first women in the world to complete the Russian Kettlebell 1000 Snatch Challenge.
Not only did Mary complete the 1000 snatch challenge, she completed 1503 snatches breaking both the 1000 and 1500 record times. Her instructor, Chris Fournie, became the 12th man in the world to complete the challenge.
