Welcome to the Gymnastics Academy Site - Lifelong fitness begins here!
TGA Coaches and gymnasts are proud to announce Maile'ana K was invited to train at the USA National gymnastics training center in Houston Texas. Maile'ana (third from left) is shown below with other National Team Members and coaches.
The mission of The Gymnastics Academy (TGA) is to provide the next generation with quality gymnastics in a fun and safe atmosphere. We also provide building blocks for lifelong fitness and a solid foundation of motor and kinesthetic skills that translate to all other sports. Finally, we are committed to encouraging your child by building their self confidence and self esteem in every class.
We offer a nationally accredited KAT Preschool Program for ages 2-6, recreational gymnastics for girls ages 6 -18, and a competitive level program for ages 6-18 who aspire to compete in sanctioned USA Gymnastics meets.
TGA also offers boys recreational classes.
Find out why TGA gymnasts say: "Everything I need to know in life I learned in gymnastics!"
Kara Waterhouse is a local sports role model who trained for 10 years at TGA. Kara achieved what most only dream of: in 1998, Kara was the lone international elite gymnast in Minnesota. She competed against Olympic gymnasts at the John Hancock Championships in 1998 and placed 28th. Kara earned a full-ride gymnastics scholarship to the college of her dreams, the University of Florida. As a Gator, Kara earned All-American honors on beam and in the all-around competition. While at TGA, Kara was coached by current optional coach Mark Waterhouse.
How else did Kara benefit from gymnastics? She sums it up in a famous quote with a gymnastics twist: "Everything I need to know in life I learned in gymnastics."
