Our annual Hearts to Hands Mitten Tree will be set up on Monday, November 29. Of course, we'll gladly accept mittens, gloves, hats and scarves prior to that date. Let's decorate that Mitten Tree!!
For those unfamiliar with this program... we collect donations of mittens, gloves, hats and scarves from generous people in the community willing to help out children and teens that would otherwise go without. Donations of items in adult sizes are also welcomed. All items collected are given to Hubbard County Social Services to be distributed at their discretion.
To help protect your accounts, we now use a fraud detection system that may automatically deactivate your Instant Cash & Check Card if it is used in a manner that is outside your normal usage patterns. This is likely to occur if you use your card while traveling.
Please let us know before you travel so we can ensure your card isn't deactivated when you need it most! Call our data processing department at 218-732-3366 ext 128.
Each year, through the Scholarship America program, a
Park Rapids High School graduate is selected to receive a
scholarship from State Bank of Park Rapids.
This year, the award is $4000.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE
COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, money-market deposit accounts, and Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs").
On July 22, 2010, the FDIC standard insurance level was permanently increased to $250,000. See the FDIC's website for more information, or to calculate your insurance coverage with their electronic deposit calculator EDIE go to https://www.fdic.gov/edie/index.html
