HiMEC Mechanical is a full service mechanical contractor located in Rochester, MN and is the only full service mechanical contractor based in southern Minnesota. HIMEC strives to provide outstanding service in the areas of HVAC; refrigeration; plumbing; 24 hour maintenance service; and custom specialty metal fabrication including non-pressure rate vessels, conveyors, countertops, hoods, and more. HIMEC has a large dependable work force backed up by highly qualified project managers and designers ready to give you a quality project. From design to fabrication to installation, HiMEC applies over 50 years of experience to meet the needs of our diverse customer base.

HiMEC was incorporated when the Hiley family, who owned the Sanitary Co., Inc., purchased Utility Sales and Engineering, Inc in 1975. The facilities were then consolidated into their present location of 40,000 square feet of office and shop space.

HiMEC merged with Harris Companies, a St. Paul, MN mechanical contractor, in January 2005. This merger allows HiMEC and Harris Companies to better serve their customers in Rochester and throughout the region by providing an enhanced portfolio of skills. HiMEC's top management remains intact and will continue to move HiMEC forward in continuing to provide quality workmanship and solutions. In addition to the Rochester Facility, HIMEC has branch offices located in Austin and Northfield.
