No one ever has to tell us how to be self-righteous. When we have a day where we don't sin very much, we might feel like we are accepted by God. However on a day when we are really aware of our sin, we might feel like God is especially angry at us. In his sermon, "What Would Nineveh Do," Pastor R W Glenn explains that neither our good works or our sin is the criteria for belonging to God's family.
Pastor Glenn gives us a call to be like the Ninevites in Jonah 3 who, when they realized their sin, immediately felt sorrow and repented. We too can be like the Ninevites who finally understand that salvation is only based on God's grace, not on any sort of works.
