Welcome to LDA Minnesota!
Your leading community-based resource for learning difficulties and related disorders such as attention-deficits/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Whether you are a parent or teacher of child with a learning disability, professional, adult, spouse or partner, our client services provide strategies and support to overcome the daily obstacles and challenges, leading the way to a more productive and fulfilled life.
Home and School Checklist
Help teachers help your child. Use this home/school checklist to document strategies that work at home and at school.
LDA Minnesota has developed the Home and School Checklist to serve as an MRI of your child’s learning abilities. This handy tool works in several ways:
1) facilitates communication between you and the teacher;
2) sends the message that you are a valuable resource and part of the team;
3) prompts the teacher to share with you effective classroom strategies that can help at home.
Toxic chemicals in our environment may contribute to learning disabilities and ADHD. LDA Minnesota is an active participant in Healthy Legacy, a coalition of agencies dedicated to building a future for our children in which they are safe, healthy, and with prospects for reaching their full potential.
Worried about toxic chemicals in your children’s products? This year, when you send your kids off to school, send them off with supplies that are free of PVC, the poison plastic. Read more.
Learn • Dream • Achieve
The mission of LDA Minnesota is to help children, youth, and adults with learning difficulties learn successfully, dream of possibilities, and achieve their goals.
First Tuedsday of each month

Twice the Gift
Once again LDA Minnesota is excited to be a part of the collaboration of over 50 non-profits which participate in the Twice the Gift store located in downtown Minneapolis at the IDS center through the holiday season. This is a unique way to raise community support and give a gift that extends further to the recipients of the chosen non-profit. This year, Twice the Gift is offering an alternative way to donate by purchasing share cards online through givemn.org. A share card enables a shopper to give a gift in place of a material item. It lets the recipient know you are thinking of them, honors them, and helps a non-profit organization fulfill its mission. Learn more about share cards.
Visit us on Friday, December 17, 2010 for LDA Minnesota Recognition Day from 8 am – 5pm!
Location: IDS Center, 80 8th St S, Minneapolis, Minnesota 5540
Give to the Max and donate online through givemn.org. Learn how your donation will help support LDA Minnesota and its mission to serve individuals with learning difficulties.
