For over 30 years Groves Academy has provided learning disability education and resources to students, families and educators in the Twin Cities community. Groves is the area's only established independent day school specifically serving children who have learning disabilities or attention disorders. Groves also provides outreach programs and services to the community.
The Groves Full-day Program, accredited through ISACS (Independent Schools Association of the Central States), enrolls 200 students in grades 1-12. Average class sizes of eight and a wide range of research-based resources allow teachers to address individual needs and help students reach their full potential. Groves is committed to helping all students recognize and develop their strengths, compensate for their weaknesses, build effective learning strategies, and ultimately become stronger self-advocates.
The Groves Outreach Program supports students, families and educators throughout the Twin Cities community. Students who don't attend Groves full-time can still benefit from the expertise of Groves teachers and staff through individualized testing, tutoring, and summer programs, and all parents and teachers are welcome to attend the workshops and special events that Groves offers.
