So you have seen the INTERIOR you want on a TV show or in a magazine. Now you are trying to see if that kitchen, built-ins, vanity, etc. will fit the budget. More importantly you are searching for the right company to get you that look. Sure, it would save you time if you came straight to us, but we understand that you want to do your homework. So to make things easier on your quest here are a list of things to look for:
Box Construction: Look for a cabinet that is constructed for years of use and abuse. A solid hardwood construction is best.
If you plan to use glass doors a finished interior is critical.
Style: Your taste is unique and more than likely the TV Show or Magazine pictures you see showcase custom cabinet shops. Make sure you can get all of the elements that showcase your style. For example:
Big Details: Make sure you can accomplish the "finished" look by adding what we call the big details. These are moldings, archways, stain glass inserts, furniture style feet, finished ends and interiors. Most of these things are overlooked by inexperienced designers. In fact, most design programs don't allow for such details to be put into a design view. They do add to the cost, but these are the details that will keep you loving your house.
Hardware: We not only pride our shop on quality wood from the best lumber yards, we also continuously shop for the best hardware. Make sure you test out drawer slides and door hinges. Are they sturdy, do they conceal, do they look good? The "slam-proof" slides and hinges are really cool. Cabinets should function too!
Your best value is not at a big box store. They do offer convenience. However, when it comes to quality, variety and overall value you can count on us to deliver (as we have for 30 years).
The best news, if you are worried about price, is that we offer pricing that is the same and sometimes better than your local big box.
