Last Friday, Nov. 12, the Johnson family was told at 7:17 a.m. that a heart was available, and Nathan and his mom and dad were airlifted from the Perham airport to St. Paul, then taken in an ambulance to Amplatz Childrens Hospital in the Twin Cities. After an entire day of waiting, Nathan was prepped for surgery around 6 p.m.

Holy Rosary to host Thanksgiving
For the past five years, the congregation of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes has been organizing a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings to celebrate the quintessential American holiday. This year is no exception. The Sixth Annual Community Thanksgiving Feast will take place this Thursday Thanksgiving Day at Holy Rosary, with serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
